Archmage is a fantasy novel in progress. Set in the land of the Resolute, it follows the journey of Eovi and Samson, who unite across the trenches to thwart a greater threat. Read about the main characters (may contain spoilers).

The name, and aspects of the setting, are inspired by the location of Winterhold from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and a band of adventurers seeking to rescue the world from calamity hearkens to JRPGs such as Chrono Trigger. Anthropomorphic characters are fun to draw and serve as a solid representation of the barriers between Kinds.

I first came up with the concept in high school and tried to write the novel in NaNoWriMo in 2013, staying up late and typing out on the minimialist writing program Q10 for Windows XP, getting to about 20k words. Unfortunately I don't have the original text, but I have since spent more time developing the characters, setting and plot. A decade later, in 2023, I tried writing it again, and at the moment I have hit about 15k words in the overhauled manuscript.

I have also filled out the cast a bit more, created some concept character sketches and illustrations, and came up with ideas for more titles if Archmage was to become a series (possibly getting ahead of myself there.)

At present I am working on a smaller project, MEAGRE, with the hopes that completing a simpler story will give me the experience and inspiration to move onto larger projects like Archmage with greater confidence.
